R & K Consulting is owned and operated by Ricky and Kay Brooks of Caryville, TN. Ricky and Kay have over 40 years combined service in the Home Sewing Industry. During that time they have owned and operated stores in Arkansas and Tennessee.
In July of 1989 they opened (from scratch) Best Sewing Inc. in Knoxville, TN. In just 13 years they developed Best Sewing into one of the largest single location Sewing Businesses in the world!

They attribute their success to the quality of their 29 hard working employee’s, the “BEST” customers in the world, their absolute total commitment to customer satisfaction and to the numerous hands-on sewing, quilting, and embroidery schools they hosted in Knoxville.



After selling Best Sewing Inc. Ricky and Kay founded R & K Consulting with the intention of offering to help other sewing businesses to achieve the same success they had enjoyed as owners. The hands-on sewing events conducted by Best Sewing Inc. are successful and so highly recommended by those who have attended them, they are filled within the first few days of registration. For the last two years Ricky and Kay have been assisting independent dealers all across the United States with conducting of hands-on schools.
